Last year Congress passed several pieces of legislation right under the noses of the American people because we were so stressed over the healthcare messed we missed the "Energy Bill" that passed and the "The Food Safety Modernization Act" which  was passed by the Senate and the two ended up giving the FDA, USDA and EPA even broader authority in terms of regulation over business and the private sector than they already had and now business, the economy and the people due to lack of jobs are feeling the pain.
The media reported very little if anything about the bill.  There are those in government counting on the fact that a significant number of Americans are either unaware of the process that a bill must go through before it becomes law or they are not paying attention to what our elected officials are up to.  That is why our elected officials all the way up to Pennsylvania Avenue are becoming much more arrogant, defiant and "in your face" with their actions.  Little by little they push, a little bit more and a little bit harder with each situation that arises, just to see how far they can go and how much we will ignore or tolerate.  Most people don't even realize when they are being conditioned over a period of time making them more compliant and easier to control.  I am sure the Jews whose ancestors lived during the holocaust could tell us about people who learned to control large numbers of people at a time.  Why?  So that they don't resist, fight back, rise up against their oppressors.  Hence, "lead to the slaughter like sheep."
Back to the "Food Safety Modernization Act".  Whenever a bill is introduced in Congress that will eventually collect any kind of "monies" by the government whether it be taxes, fines, penalties etc., once it is passed and is signed into law, "it MUST have been introduced in the HOUSE FIRST" according to our Constitution.  This bill was introduced in the SENATE FIRST. This was one of the checks and balances that our forefathers built into our law making process so that the "people" (that's why they call the House of Representatives "the People's House) have a voice in our law making process. It also kept the Senate and the Executive Branches from becoming too powerful (which is what is happening right now, today in our government) and having history repeat itself creating another oppressive society like the one from whence they came.
If you are interested in whether it was corrected or if it passed anyway and is an Unconstitutional law you can go to www.opencongress.org and find out for yourself.
After all, you are going to be paying for it, don't you want to know what you are getting for your money?
