"Let's Talk News!"

There is so much in the news today that it is hard to keep up.  For quite sometime the media has embraced the economy, unemployment and healthcare as the status quo if we confine ourselves to the headline version of the news.  But then there are always the "sensationalized" stories that are meant to illicit or "provoke" emotional response or provide a smoke screen for the unsanitized story that is reported but usually not easily found.  Kind of like the story in a thick Sunday newspaper in Section E on page 17 that usually no one bothers to look at because we are all trained to read the front page and the first few.  Psychologically we are lulled into thinking that's where the most important stories are.
Well enough of that nonsense.  How can we ever be expected to truly understand issues and events or have an informed opinion about anything or possibly make an intelligent decision if we are not given all of the facts and details and allowed to draw our own conclusions?
Well we are going to start talking about some of those Paul Harvey "rest of the stories" and let's see what we can come up with?
