"The 21st Century American"
Just what is a "21st Century American?" Are you a "21st Century American" and just haven't realized it yet? 21st Century Americans are citizens who have taken an active interest in what is and has been going on to slowly and covertly change the face of our U.S. government for over 100 years. They are people who are no longer willing to accept at face value what the media is reporting as factual. They are reading and learning to research. They have realized that what we have been provided with for a very long time is a pasteurized version of what the "Establishment" behind the government wants us to know about the things that affect us in our daily lives. These things translated have to do with the economy, jobs, privately owned business. our savings and investments, homes and on and on. This information or lack there of, has cost generations of Americans on many levels.
These were people who initially were just tired of being taxed to death. Many of them saw a news story that aired in early 2009 about an exasperated financial reporter on the floor of the stock exchange reacting to the financial state of affairs that our government and Wall Street were courting and who apparently shared the sentiments of his viewers. The person interviewing the reporter jokingly challenged him to have a symbolic "tea party" protest to which he said that he may just do just that but around the 4th of July. By the end of February 2009 a small group of 300 plus people in St. Louis picked up on the idea and decided to meet under the St. Louis Arch, overlooking the Mississippi river in the freezing cold with their tea bags in hand to take a stand against the excessive government spending and taxation. This was the birth of the Tea Party movement that has continued to grow across the country without the constraints of government, elected officials or a formal governing body. Contrary to what the media (the ones we talked about earlier) has reported beginning with those who use the same old talking points over and over rather than having factual documented evidence, accusing the Tea Party of been funded by wealthy right winged insurance companies. Nothing could be further from the truth. It has been these types of allegations and much worse that has motivated Americans to join the ranks of those who are willing to stand up and be counted.
This new breed of American is no longer willing to sit back and allow elected officials to be unaccountable and irresponsible. They understand that they do have a choice and a say in how our elected officials "should" be representing us. These Americans understand that they are the ones who end up paying for all of the decisions that are being made for us whether we like or agree with them or not. They have come to realize that there are those in government WHO HAVE TO CONTROL a certain number of us or "they" wouldn't have a job. Whether you are a news "junkie" or totally oblivious to government, politics and world affairs it is pretty difficult to deny that the majority of the people in this country are expressing legitimate concerns about the direction in which our government is taking us.
It is no secret that there are "changes" taking place all around us. You cannot turn on the TV, radio or your computer without hearing or reading about a new law, department, task force or committee being passed, implemented, formed or argued about almost on a daily basis. Or perhaps it may be about a new war, an old war, the economy, unemployment, skyrocketing food prices, gas prices, cost of education, increased health premiums, decreased benefits, the deficit, the budget, Social Security, Healthcare, Medicare, climate change, some disaster in some part of the world that we've just given money to (borrowed money, that is) and on and on. If all of this seems too much to handle at one time, you are correct it is. But the more important questions to ask are, do these things affect me, will they affect me, how will they affect me, when will they affect me, will these affects be positive or negative and how much do I know about these subjects in order to make intelligent decisions and retain the ability to have control over my life?
No matter what your perception is or isn't doesn't change the fact that changes ARE taking place in our country. Many of these changes have and are being made behind the backs of the American people and most recently without Congress even knowing about it! Why is this happening? Because it CAN when you have an out of control government whose FIRST priority is NOT the concerns or interests of it's people.
Over the last several years a number of American people have started doing there own research and not just browsing the Internet and reading blogs. Many of these people contrary to the popular belief of the DC crowd are no longer from the early 1900's and ARE informed and educated. Some have actually earned a living doing research and writing. Dispelling the myth that only a chosen few in Washington actually know about how our government works, (or should work) our Constitution and what "astro turfing" really means!
Again, the sad reality is that the American people have been used, manipulated and lied to for a very long time for the benefit of a small number of uber rich national and international elitists. Almost sounds like something that you need a box of popcorn and a movie theater to help you wrap your brain around the whole idea, doesn't it? Well, that is precisely why they have been able to do it so well for so long.
As far back as history will take us there has always been a desire among men for power, control and wealth and as history has dictated it has never ended. During the early 1800's, specifically 1816-1836 it reared it's ugly head when a charter for the first central bank from Europe was granted in the US. Thanks to President Andrew Jackson it was abolished at the end of the charter and sent back to whence it came. But that is not the end of this story. This is just one of the untold stories that we will look at in detail. One of the stories that has changed the course of our history and our lives and continues to do so today and most of us have never known. It is one of the reasons for the evolution of the 21st Century American.
This is where you and you alone are going to be able to decide what kind of an American you want to be and why perhaps this may be important to you.
This is where you may find the answer to a question that may affect you or the people that you care about. This is where you can explore those things that whether you realize it or not have helped to shape the course of our Country, our history and our future, good or bad. This is where you may decide to become a 21st Century American and a US Guardian of Freedom!
